FINDLAY, Ohio — A body was found Thursday in a retention pond in Findlay.
Officers were dispatched to the pond behind the Walmart on West Trenton Avenue about 1:15 p.m. for a report of a person floating. According to Findlay police, the body of a deceased white male was recovered.
The body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for an autopsy. The male has not been identified.
Jan. 24 update
Authorities identified the deceased male as Benjamin Greeno, 45, of Findlay. Drowning was the preliminary cause of death.
No trauma to the body was found and foul play is not expected.
