FAYETTE, Ohio — Firefighters from multiple departments were called to a barn fire in Fulton County on Sunday afternoon.
The fire started around 4:30 p.m. on County Road N in Fayette. When firefighters arrived there were flames shooting through the roof.
By 5:45 p.m. the barn had to be completely torn down.
There were goats in the barn but the family was able to get them out safely.
A number of chickens died in the fire however.
No people were hurt in the fire.
Toledo Edison was also on the scene of the fire.
There’s no word at this time on what caused the fire to ignite.
In October of last year, firefighters had to put out a large barn fire at the same property. No animals were injured in that incident.
