I-475 NB between US 24 and Dussel exits reopens Wednesday after 'unplanned repairs'

Northbound I-475 from US 24 to Salisbury Road and Dussel Drive is back open following Tuesday's repair of a bridge deck. All nearby ramps are accessible.

MAUMEE, Ohio — Lane closures on I-475 in Maumee have been cleared and are now open to through traffic, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Just before 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, ODOT updated the status of the northbound lanes from closed to open. All ramp closures associated with the repair are accessible as well.

On Tuesday, standstill traffic on I-475 northbound south of US 24 was backed up into Perrysburg at the Dixie Highway exit due to the Dussel Drive exit being closed shortly before noon.

In an update on Tuesday, an ODOT representative stated the closure was expected to last until Wednesday morning for an unplanned repair on the deck of the bridge over Monclova Road.

"The repair is at a bridge joint that deteriorated quickly," an ODOT Northwest Ohio spokesperson said in the statement. "We are planning a concrete repair and hope to have the concrete there later this afternoon. It will then have to cure overnight so we hope to have it back in service by tomorrow morning."
