TOLEDO, Ohio — Noelle Blumel joined the WTOL 11 team in September, 2023. You can find her filming on the sidelines at local sporting events and sometimes anchoring the 6 or 11 p.m. sports segment.
Originally from Southern California, Noelle played volleyball for the University of La Verne her freshman year of college, before transferring to Arizona State University.
There she got her start as a broadcast reporter for the Sun Devil baseball team. She did that while playing for the ASU women’s club volleyball team and earning her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and mass communication in May, 2023.
Growing up an athlete naturally instilled her passion for sports, therefore making it mandatory for her to pursue a career in it.
She loves telling athletes’ stories, but when away from work, enjoys playing volleyball (preferably at the beach) and listening to 90s rap and alternative/soft rock music.
