BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce has announced the award winners of the city's annual holiday parade.
The Beat Dance Company, a dance school based in Bowling Green, took home the top prize of Saturday's parade: "Best of Show."
Four other categories were also awarded.
The "Most Unique" award had two winners: Cousino Restoration and Bowling Green Public Works Snowplows.
The Wood County Hospital was awarded "Best Float Decoration/Construction," the BW Twirlers received "Best Youth Organization" and The Heights Baton Corp took home "Best Live Performance."
The 2023 Bowling Green Community Holiday Parade had the theme of "Holiday Sparkle" and was judged by a panel of three community members: Ted Haselman, JoBeth Gonzalez and Tom Kehres.
The floats were scored with the following criteria: adherence to theme, creativity in decoration, use of music, performance quality, wow factor, participant engagement and costumes.
A total of 90 units participated in the parade, 80 of which qualified to be judged, according to the chamber of commerce.
