City of Toledo to hold event offering free legal consultations to veterans facing housing-related issues

The city said the event will help veterans with landlord disputes, lease concerns, rent escrow questions, eviction record assistance and more.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The city of Toledo announced it will be holding a Veterans Tenant Tuesday event in November to help veterans facing housing-related issues.

The city said the free event will provide one-on-one legal consultations with attorneys and help veterans with landlord disputes, lease concerns, rent escrow questions, eviction record assistance and more.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Toledo Lucas County Public Main Library, located at 325 Michigan Street. According to the city, registration is required.

Call 419-245-1400 or click HERE to register. Registration is open now and closes on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The city said you will receive a confirmed appointment time after registering.

The city said attendees must bring a copy of their lease and each attendee will have 20 minutes with an attorney.
