TOLEDO, Ohio — Medical Mutual and Paramount announced Thursday the inaugural Senior Appreciation Tour in Toledo, offering Ohioans 60 years and older a free three-day tour of some of the city's top attractions.
The tour runs from Sept. 17-19 and will feature three locations for older adults to explore:
- Tuesday, Sept. 17: The National Museum of the Great Lakes
- Wednesday, Sept. 18: Toledo Zoo and Aquarium
- Thursday, Sept. 19: Toledo Museum of Art
Medical Mutual and Paramount said each event includes complimentary admission, free parking, giveaways, games and special access to exhibits at each location.
“Older adults are vital to our communities, and Medical Mutual, along with Paramount, are intentional at recognizing and celebrating all they do for our community,” Jonathon Fauvie, senior community affairs specialist for Medical Mutual said. “Medical Mutual is celebrating its 90th birthday in 2024 and earlier this year, we welcomed Paramount into our Medical Mutual Family of Companies. This is our first time taking the Tour outside of Cleveland and we are excited that Toledo is our first stop!”
Medical Mutual will also be hosting a Senior Appreciation Sweepstakes from Sept. 9 to Sept. 27 where Ohio residents 60 and older can enter online to win several prizes: a suite at a Mud Hens game, season-long passes to the Valentine Theatre, yearlong memberships to Medical Mutual's partner venues and more.
Medical Mutual and Paramount said making this tour of Toledo's arts and culture scene accessible to older adults in Ohio is important because they continue to see high rates of social isolation among that population.
