LUNA PIER, Mich. — The Luna Pier Parks and Recreation, and the Downtown Development Authority, is hosting the first-ever Luna Pier Night Market this weekend.
This family-friendly Night Market event is free and open to the public and will feature more than forty vendors, hand-crafted goods, a Girl Scout troop lemonade stand, a variety of food trucks, as well as a DJ.
Although this is the first time for the event, organizers are hoping to make it an annual occurrence.
"For most of this year, people have not had an easy opportunity to visit Luna Pier because of our bridge reconstruction over I-75. But now, with the new bridge completed and easy access once again to Luna Pier, this Night Market event is great opportunity to visit see what we have to offer," said Jenny Drotar, event coordinator for the Luna Pier Night Market.
The event will be held at Luna Pier's 1st Street Park on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 6 – 10 p.m.
Drotar said the proceeds raised from this event will go towards much needed renovations to Memorial Park in downtown Luna Pier.
