TOLEDO, Ohio — WTOL 11 viewers may have noticed a familiar face early Friday as reporter Zeinab Cheaib returned to WTOL 11 This Morning after her maternity leave.
Zeinab's daughter, Elissar, or Elise for short, was born Sept. 23.
Zeinab's little girl already loves Baby Shark and is showing plenty of personality, her mom said Friday on Good Day with WTOL 11.
"Oh my gosh, I am so scared for the future because she already gives me an attitude," Zeinab said.
The family is excited for a new baby girl as both Zeinab and her husband only have brothers, she said.
In fact, she said they were expecting their first baby to be a boy because there are so many boys on both sides of the family.
"We were 100 percent sure it was going to be a boy and then, surprise, it's a girl," Zeinab said.
The new baby granddaughter has captured her dad's heart, Zeinab said.
"She has him wrapped around her finger already," she said.
As a first-time mom, Zeinab said she has learned a lot in her daughter's first few months. You have to be patient and find what works for you and your family, she said.
"And above all," she said. "Don't be afraid to ask for help. I don't know what I would do without my mom."
Grandma is watching Elissar while Zeinab returns to work reporting on WTOL 11 This Morning.
"I can't imagine my life without her," Zeinab said.
