BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Is your pet supremely photogenic? If the answer is yes (which it probably is!), an opportunity to have your furry friend photographed is nigh, put on by nonprofit organization Friends of BG Dog Parks.
The Saturday, Dec. 7 event, held at Round and Round Gifts at 331 N. Main St. in Bowling Green, will feature opportunities to pose with Santa Claus and Misses Claus for a photo. Each photo op will come with a printed 4-by-6 print and a link to a digital download.
The suggested donation price for a photo is $20, according to a press release from the organization. The proceeds will support the construction of a new city dog park on Ridge Street.
Construction is expected to begin on the new park in the spring, after the organization signed a lease with the city of Bowling Green in July.
The organization has secured a professional photographer - Alek Rodkin - to take the pictures. Rodkin is volunteering his time for the event, the organization said; as are Charlie and Peggy Downard, who will portray Kris Kringle and wife.
Even if you don't have a pet, you can still participate by donating for a photo op with St. Nick and yourself.
