Hollywood Casino union members ratify new contract

United Steelworkers Local 1-346 President Jim Witt said the contract is for three years and four months, and includes raises for all workers.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A union contract for Hollywood Casino Toledo employees was ratified Monday night after months of negotiating.

United Steelworkers Local 1-346 President Jim Witt said the contract is for three years and four months. There were many language changes and improvements to make the contract clearer to members.

Tipped employees will receive a $1 an hour raise plus a 2% wage increase retroactive to Dec. 1, 2022. All other employees will receive a 4.5% wage increase retroactive to Dec. 1, and then increases of 3%, 3% and 3.25% over the next three years.

The ratification comes about two months after a tentative agreement was reached. That tentative agreement avoided a work stoppage at the casino.

The USW represents about 800 workers at the casino.
