TOLEDO, Ohio — Ever walk to the most remote corner of your place of employment to use the restroom? Turns out you're not alone.
A new survey from MiraLAX found one in five American office workers claim using the office bathroom is the main stressor about returning to the office amid the pandemic.
Besides going No. 2 being a No. 1 concern for Americans when returning to the office, the survey also found:
- Seven in 10 Americans hold their poop in all to avoid using a public restroom, leading 64% of workers to become constipated;
- 48% claim that peeping through the gaps in the doors is the biggest violation of restroom etiquette;
- 44% of workers admit thin toilet paper is their number one pet peeve.
MiraLAX has coined the term “workstipation” – the stress associated with “going” at the office resulting in a backed-up gut. After nearly two years of work from home privacy, MiraLAX launched a new campaign – Workstipation Reform – to empower officegoers to advocate for better conditions and etiquette so they can do their business at work.
To kick off the program, the brand launched a sweepstakes for consumers to share their workplace bathroom pet peeves on Twitter for a chance to win a grand prize to help make the “go” more comfortable.
