TOLEDO, Ohio — A leader in the metal industry is building a new manufacturing facility in Monclova Township.
Rolled Alloys announced plans Monday to construct a one-story, 222,000-square-foot light manufacturing facility with nearly 30,000 square feet of attached office space. The 45-acre site is in the area of Monclova and Jerome Roads and is part of a join economic development zone between the city of Toledo, city of Maumee and Monclova Township.
A news release from the company said the plant will add "many" jobs to the community and "significant employment growth" is expected. Most jobs will be filled by workers at the existing plant in Temperance, Mich., which the company has outgrown.
Rudolph Libbe Inc. is the builder of the project. The plant will be designed to blend into its surroundings.
Rolled Alloys, based in Temperance, has locations around the United States, Canada, Asia and Europe. The company manufactures heat resistant and corrosion resistant alloys.
Ground broke on the new facility Monday. It is expected to be operational by August 2024.
