FINDLAY, Ohio — Two Findlay organizations are partnering to help you crack a cold one for a good cause.
Yet again, the brew masters at Findlay Brewing Company have crafted a limited edition beer to raise funds for a local charity.
Starting today until all kegs are emptied, patrons can pick up a Triple Berry Blonde Ale called "Imagination Li-Berry."
"For those who have had our brilliant blonde, it is our top seller, most popular beer, this is also something that you're really going to enjoy. It's a twist on that with strawberry, raspberry and blueberry added to it," said Sarah Foltz, taproom and events manager for Findlay Brewing Company.
Proceeds from Imagination Li-Berry sales will go to Hancock Literacy, a nonprofit with a mission to promote lifelong literacy for Hancock County residents.
Hancock Literacy executive director Shannon Andersen says currently, 14 percent of Hancock County residents are functionally illiterate.
Their programs not only help adults who need assistance in learning how to read, but also make sure preschoolers have a solid foundation before starting school.
"The reason this program is so important is that it helps our preschoolers prepare for school. So, when they get to Kindergarten, on day one they already have the tools to start preparing to read," said Andersen.
Foltz says the last time Findlay Brewing Company brewed a fundraising beer, it was sold out in one day.
So if you'd like to try out the new triple berry blonde ale, you'll need to grab one soon.
