TOLEDO, Ohio — An Ohio-based furniture chain with stores across the US has filed for bankruptcy, prompting the closure of all its locations. This includes more than 20 in Ohio.
American Freight filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Nov. 3 and will begin closing all of its locations. This includes a location in the village of Holland. Located on Airport Highway across from Spring Meadows shopping plaza, the store is among the company's 328 slated for closure.
An official closing date for any of the locations has not been given.
The company also owns Pet Supplies Plus, The Vitamin Shoppe, and Buddy's Home Furnishings, which are not a part of the bankruptcy.
As a part of its going-out-of-business sale, American Freight is offering some discounts on its products.
