FOSTORIA, Ohio — For the second year now, the city of Fostoria is participating in the Midwest Sculpture initiative.
Sculptures from artists around the country will be on display for the next year.
If the artwork is sold, the local tourism board receives a commission.
It's also a way to beautify the community while also helping artists show their work.
"We have some murals in town, we have these sculptures in town. So it's just something that people can take a look at and it just makes you feel good and you see something a little bit different in the community," Michelle Cochran, Director of Fostoria Community Development and Tourism, said.
One of last year's sculptures was purchased and donated back to the community to be a permanent fixture at the public library.
