FREMONT, Ohio — Sandusky County will be celebrating a growing tourism industry with the 3rd Annual Fremont Fishing & Outdoor Festival in Fremont this weekend.
The festival capitalizes on all of the fishermen who visit the Sandusky River for the annual Walleye and White Bass runs.
The family friendly event is free and will feature live music, food, vendors, and a giant watertank fishing exhibit.
Organizers said this year is expected to be the biggest yet.
"Last year it was much nicer, it threatened rain all day, it rained for maybe 5 minutes. So, we did have several thousand people. But it's going to be beautiful this weekend, so we're expecting big crowds." Peggy Courtney, executive director of the Sandusky County Convention and Visitors Bureau, said.
The Fremont Fishing and Outdoor Festival runs this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
