PIONEER, OH (Toledo News Now) - An adult Boy Scout leader was found dead at the Pioneer Scout Reservation Camp Frontier in Pioneer, Ohio Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Williams County Sheriff's Office, 56-year-old Daniel L. Kretz of Toledo was found dead in a tent at the camp sometime after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The sheriff's office says Kretz was at the camp as an assistant Boy Scout leader with a troop from Toledo. Kretz's body has been transported to Lucas County for an autopsy, but no foul play is suspected in his death.
The camp is near the Michigan and Indiana borders in far northwest Ohio, and is used by the Boy Scouts of America as a summer camp location for children. About 500 kids are at the camp this week.
