TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Central Catholic is making sure its faculty and staff know what to do if a shooting happened at the school.
They teamed up with Mercy Health Police Department for ALICE training.
The head of the school said that training like this is vital.
"Schools are constantly evolving on their safety training. It's a critical component to what we're trying to do each and every day looking at ways and outcomes of the safety but also you have to train. Not something you can just talk about; you have to get into a scenario and understand," said Kevin Parkins, CCHS Head of School.
The faculty and staff participated in several interactive exercises to complete the program.
