Dreaming of sunny days? Plan your upcoming vacation with RV Dealers Camp and Travel Show this weekend

Local dealers will be on hand to show the latest models in RVs, campers, motor homes and more at the Glass City Center starting Friday.

TOLEDO, Ohio — If you are having dreams of spring and warmer weather activities, a great place to start planning is at the RV Dealers Camp and Travel Show this weekend at the Glass City Center.

Once again, the Glass City Center will be filled with RVs, campers, motor homes and more starting Friday.

Local dealers will be on hand to answer any questions and show off all of the latest trends in the camping and travel lifestyle.

Jack Chalfin with Reineke RV of Toledo was setting up a massive RV unit Thursday morning. The RV feels more like a modern apartment or hotel suite.

"They have all of the amenities of home: air conditioning, hot water, refrigeration, TVs," Chalfin said. "They've got the loft space for the kids."

Chalfin said that since the pandemic, the demand for more modern touches and comfort items has grown as people are choosing to relax in style over roughing it.

"A lot of lightweight units, so they're easier to tow with the smaller vehicles because a lot of our customers want to retire, or that and travel the country," he said. "And it's easier to tow a lighter-weight unit over the Rocky Mountains than it is a bigger one."

Modern RV's and motorhomes have been outfitted with more and more comfort amenities.

Camping vendors will be on hand, along with representatives from area campgrounds to make sure visitors are properly equipped and know where the best place to spend their getaway.

Chalfin said this event is perfect for people who are not yet in the market for an RV, with so many options he says it is good to get an idea of what you are looking for to plan ahead.

"I'll have customers that tell me, 'Hey, in a couple years from now we want to retire,'" he said. "And I love that because they can do that research and figure out which models they want and make the right decision when they're ready to purchase."

Tickets are available at this link and cost $10 for adults. Children 12 and under are free.
