Toledo Auto Show offers one-stop shop for 20 auto brands

Automotive dealers from across the greater Toledo area will be on hand to present the latest models of cars all weekend long at the Glass City Center.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Auto dealers of northwest Ohio are showing off the newest models and latest technology in downtown Toledo this weekend.

Once again the Glass City Center is filled with the 120 models of cars from 20 auto brands for the 2024 Toledo Auto Show.

All of the major auto manufacturers are on display through local northwest Ohio dealerships.

Along with saving visitors multiple trips to the various dealers across the region by offering a one-stop shop, these cars are simply for show so there is no sales pressure through the weekend.

"They're not selling you anything, you can not buy a new car here at the auto show. It is just for you to come and check out and take a look, and then you go visit one of our local dealers to make the purchase," said Kelly Danison, auto show manager.

And unlike the Detroit Auto Show, which is more of a media event, visitors to the Toledo Auto Show can touch and get inside every car on display.

"There's a lot of odd things you can do online, but the one thing you can't do is touch and feel," said Danison. "I think that's the biggest thing about the auto show here is that you get the opportunity to kick the tires, and touch and feel, and see if you like it. I mean, you can look until your heart is content online, but you still need to go feel the vehicle."

120 vehicles from 20 different brands will be on display.

Rouen Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is one of the participating dealers.

General Manager Kevin Carnicom said he usually sees more foot traffic following the auto show each year.

The show is great for anyone who is in the market for a new car or for people who simply want to see the newest models in person.

"Especially if you're going to be in the market in the near future, whether it's the spring, summer, fall," said Carnicom. "But it's just a good time to go out and look, you know, on your own time."

To ensure this is a family-friendly event, the Toledo Auto Show is hosting a digital scavenger hunt to make sure that the visitors can make their way through the entire showroom floor.

"We took nine photos of vehicles as they came in and they are on the show floor. You'll have a little snippet and you have to name the make and the model," said Danison. "Name all nine and you get a chance to win a 55-inch TV."

The 2024 Toledo Auto Shows runs from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
