TOLEDO, Ohio — With the holiday season officially here, Toledo and the surrounding areas are filled with festive celebrations and events, all for you and your family to attend.
Here's where you can find some local holiday festivities this season.
Toledo
Local Artist Holiday Trunk Show | Friday, Nov. 22-Saturday, Nov. 23 - purchase tickets to attend
At this trunk show, view and/or purchase artwork from over 20 local artists at the historic Libbey House in the Old West End neighborhood of Toledo. Guests can meet the artists and enjoy beverages, appetizers and the holiday decor of the Libbey House. Preview party is Friday, Nov. 22 from 5-8 p.m.; show is Saturday, Nov. 23 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Ticket purchase proceeds benefit The Arts Commission.
Christmas Tree Ship | Saturday, Dec. 7 - Free to attend, can preorder a Christmas tree
Enjoy free museum admission all day long and watch Santa arrive at the museum’s dock aboard a tugboat, delivering Christmas trees. Trees can be purchased through preordering; Dec. 1 is the deadline to order. Santa and the tugboat arrive at the dock at 1:30 p.m.
Ottawa Park Holiday Tree Lighting | Sunday, Dec. 8 - Free
Come out for games, arts and crafts, and musical performances, as well as free ice skating, book giveaways, costumed characters, free s'mores and more. Events are from 3-7 p.m., with tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. Non-perishable food items will be collected to support local food banks.
Bowling Green
Sounds of the Season | Saturday, Dec. 14 - Free
Experience a holiday-themed concert featuring local groups performing family-friendly music. Hosted by the Voices of Harmony, this event will feature special guests Sylvania Northview's acapella group, Harmony Roadshow. Admission is free and donations will be accepted, and showtime will begin at 7 p.m.
Findlay
A Celtic Christmas | Wednesday, Nov. 20- Purchase tickets to attend
Prepare to be amazed by some of the world’s finest Irish dancers and musicians bringing the spirit of Christmas to life, as The Irish Music & Dance Sensation presents its holiday spectacular. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Tiffin
Downtown Tiffin Holiday Tree Lighting Experience | Friday, Dec. 6 - Free
Enjoy live music by the Off Our Rockers Chorus, free hot chocolate and cookies, a special appearance by Santa, and the lighting of a tree with nearly 500 ornaments crafted by local 5th graders and businesses. After the tree lighting, continue the festive evening at the Kris Kringle Market, a traditional German-themed Christmas Market in downtown Tiffin. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
Walbridge
Christmas in the Village | Monday, Dec. 9- Free
The fun will begin with the traditional Christmas parade at 5:30 p.m. at St. Jerome's, ending at the administration building. Join Santa in the lighting of the new 25 ft tall Christmas tree outside the admin building at 6:15 p.m. There will be coloring, cocoa, and cookie decorating following the lighting, so bring the whole family out!
