Patron Saints Brewery offers beers fit for Holy Toledo

On Jan. 20, more than 50 breweries from Toledo and around the country will come to the Glass City to show off their best brews.

TOLEDO (WTOL) - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John … not just the four Apostles but also the four staple beers that owners Eric Pfohl and Aaron Grizaniuk keep on tap at Patron Saints Brewery on West Bancroft Street in Toledo.

Their brewing operation moved from the garage to the taproom and brewery in August. The beers are featured in bars and restaurants, but this January will be the first time the brewery is featured during the fourth Annual Winter Brewfest at Fifth Third Field.

On Jan. 20, more than 50 breweries from Toledo and around the country will come to the Glass City to show off their best brews.

Not to mention, this is right in the middle of the Toledo Walleye hosting the ECHL All-Star Weekend at the Huntington Center.

The owners believe one of the things that makes them stand apart from other breweries is their ability to constantly try new recipes, like a gluten-free beer for those who are gluten intolerant.

Most places offer a cider for those who can’t drink beer. But because Eric’s sister is gluten intolerant, they thought they’d try making a gluten-free beer. It turned out great!

You can stop in to the taproom Thursdays and Fridays from 5-10 p.m. and Saturday from 4-11 p.m.
