NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio — A 16-year-old is in stable condition after he was shot in North Baltimore on Tuesday.
According to the Wood County prosecutor's office, the teenager was shot by a handgun while visiting a friend just before 1 p.m. on East Water St.
Two people have been charged in the incident. One of those suspects is a juvenile who is now facing charges of felonious assault and tampering with evidence and is being held at the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center after a hearing earlier Wednesday.
The second suspect, 22-year-old Steven Eninger, has been charged with tampering with evidence.
Eninger appeared before the Bowling Green Municipal Court and was released on his own recognizance. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled on June 17 at 1 p.m.
