Man turns himself in after warrant was issued for his arrest in the shooting of 17-year-old pregnant teen

Police say the other man charged in the shooting was already in custody. The teen victim is in the hospital in serious condition.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Police say 19-year-old Baron Osley has turned himself in after a warrant for felonious assault was issued for his arrest in the shooting of a pregnant 17-year-old in south Toledo on April 9.

Police say a second man charged with felonious assault in the shooting, Dwight Hoskins was already in custody at the time the charge was added.

Police say the 17-year-old was shot outside her father's home just before midnight.

The girl's father told police there was a verbal altercation with unknown persons who were driving away from the home when shots were fired and the teenager was shot in the lower back.

The teen told police she was in the early stages of pregnancy, and was taken to the hospital where she remains in serious condition.

Police found multiple casings laying in the middle of the street and several people at the scene were taken in for questioning.
