2 people hospitalized after south Toledo shooting

Both victims are expected to survive after a shooting between South and Western Avenues. Police said no arrests have been made.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people were hospitalized with non-life threatening gunshot wounds after a shooting Monday night.

The incident happened shortly before midnight in south Toledo, according to police.

Toledo police told WTOL 11 the first victim, whose age is unknown at this time, was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene on Colton Street between South Avenue and Western Avenue.

The victim was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

A second victim, whose age is unknown, was located on Jackson Street near Huron Street in downtown Toledo. The victim walked up to officers and told them he was shot, according to police.

The second victim was taken to the hospital.

No arrests have been made.

Police said two homes on Colton Street were struck by gunfire and casings were found on the street, sidewalk and grass at the scene.
