TOLEDO, Ohio — A person was shot in east Toledo on Sunday evening according to Toledo police.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Weiler Homes on Siegel Court. According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to the area following a 911 call, and found a victim, described in the report as a 32-year-old male, walking in the area. He was suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Toledo Fire and Rescue crews rendered aid to the victim, and transported him to the hospital. Police on scene said the victim was in serious condition, but said they believed he will survive.
Police investigated a possible bullet hole in the upstairs window of a home, and they checked the inside of the building for anyone inside. Police said they checked the inside of the building, and said no one was inside.
No suspects were identified and no arrests were made as a result of the shooting.
An investigation is ongoing.
