TOLEDO, Ohio — UPDATE: The following story has been edited to reflect that a charge of Criminal Child Enticement was dropped in court Monday.
A south Toledo man is facing a charge of aggravated menacing after he allegedly threatened someone's life in October.
In an arrest warrant document, Toledo police claimed 40-year-old Tomy Diaz made a physical threat against someone on Oct. 20. The police document states Diaz told the victim, "I'm going to kill you". The victim told police Diaz had a firearm at the time and said, "See what happens next." Police charged Diaz with aggravated menacing, also a first degree misdemeanor.
Diaz was also initially charged with criminal child enticement, a charge that was dropped in court Monday. Police claimed Diaz attempted to lure a child under 14 years old into his vehicle at a bus stop at Bancroft and Alvin on Sept. 19. According to the document, Diaz tried to lure the child by offering watermelon.
