BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Bowling Green police and state authorities are investigating the death of a 23-year-old woman just north of downtown on Thursday.
On Friday, a man was taken into custody as a person of interest.
On Sunday, police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.
The woman was found unresponsive at the scene on North Main Street just north of downtown Thursday afternoon. BGPD confirmed to WTOL 11 that the cause of death is unknown and is still under investigation.
On Friday, BG police identified the victim as Alicia Rosa, of Bowling Green.
Police also said Friday they identified Jimmy David Cole, 29, of Bowling Green, as a person of interest. He was arrested on parole violations Friday afternoon.
There was a warrant out for him on matters unrelated to the suspicious death.
Police say Cole and Rosa had an existing relationship.
BGPD received the call at 4:15 p.m. about an unresponsive female at the residence in the 300 block of North Main Street. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting, BGPD said.

Rosa is remembered as smart and determined, with a work ethic beyond measure, "who had a smile that lit up every room she went into."
Rosa's mom said she was pregnant with her first child at the time of her death.
