Bowling Green police seeking information on Saturday assault

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Bowling Green police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted for assaulting a person early Saturday - an incident that was captured on video. 

According to a social media post from Bowling Green police made Wednesday, the assault happened on Saturday, Sept. 21 at approximately 1:57 a.m.

In the video police provided, a suspect is seen running down Main Street and approaching a group of three people walking together. The suspect then tackled one person to the ground, stood up and fled.  

In addition to the incident having been captured on video, BG police provided the following photo that includes the suspect, and the people they allegedly were with. The suspect in this photo, police said, is the person wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Police said if you recognize any of the people in the image, you should call police at 419-352-1131.
