Car stolen at gunpoint in south Toledo, police say

The victims told police that an unknown person opened the passenger side door of the vehicle and pointed a gun at one of the victims.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people were robbed at gunpoint and their car stolen in south Toledo on Thursday night, according to Toledo police

Around 7:15 p.m., police were called out to a carjacking near South Avenue and Spencer Street. The victims said that an unknown person opened the passenger side door of the vehicle and pointed a gun at one of the victims. The victim said that the suspect stated, "Give me all your money or I'll shoot you in the head."

The victims were able to flee from the vehicle and make it to safety, according to police. The suspect then took off in the victim's car before it was located a short time later unoccupied behind a home on Gibbons Street, TPD said. 

According to a police report, there were no injuries reported and there are no suspects in custody.
