MONROE COUNTY, Michigan — Authorities are seeking help from the public in identifying two suspects who allegedly stole from a fast food restaurant in Frenchtown Township.
According to a press release from Michigan State Police, troopers are investigating a larceny of money from the Chick-fil-A location at 2071 N. Telegraph Rd on March 9 at approximately 8 a.m. The agency said troopers were dispatched to the location after two suspects allegedly stole money using a "quick-change scheme."
Troopers determined a male and female suspect entered the restaurant and placed an order. The male suspect handed the employee cash to pay for the purchase, but engaged in conversation with the employee and requested change for several different denominations of bills in order to distract and confuse the employee. Doing this, the suspect used sleight of hand to pocket money that belonged to the restaurant.

The female suspect watched the incident, then joined in on the scheme and also took money. After receiving their order, the two suspects exited the restaurant and traveled south on Telegraph Road in a silver/gray Ford Escape, authorities claimed.
If you have information regarding the suspects' identities, or additional information about the incident, Michigan State Police ask that you call Trooper Jordan Thoma at 734-242-3500.
