FINDLAY, Ohio — Findlay police arrested a man Friday night for allegedly shooting another person in the face and fleeing the scene.

The victim, who police did not identify, was taken to the hospital by an unknown person and found to have suffered a gunshot wound to the lower left portion of their face. They were then taken to another hospital. Their condition is currently unknown, police said in a press release shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday.

Officers were responding to reports of a man with a gun outside of the Old Stoney Ledge bar at the intersection of Broad Avenue and Howard Street just after 7 p.m. when they were advised a person had been shot and the suspect had fled, according to the press release.

Police then located the suspect, Marcuss Martinez, close by near College and Fox streets. Martinez ran east through lawns on College Street before being stopped and taken into custody.
