TOLEDO, Ohio — A former Maumee foster parent and Springfield Township firefighter pleaded guilty in federal court on Tuesday to child sex crime charges.
Jeremy Chesser pleaded guilty to two counts of child exploitation and one count of distributing child pornography, according to court documents. He is set to be sentenced on November 4 at 11 a.m.
Chesser entered the plea deal in the U.S. District Court of Northern Ohio in Toledo.
He has also pleaded not guilty to 19 other charges he faces in the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas.
In Lucas County, Chesser is facing the following counts:
- one count of gross sexual imposition
- one count of endangering children
- two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor
- 15 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor
Chesser is the father of 10 children, several of whom are foster children. He was a foster parent at the time of his arrest in August of last year.
