Home 'associated' with defendant in kidnapping, murder case of Toledo teens shot multiple times, police say

No one was injured in the shooting at the home on Chase Street in north Toledo. Police say there are no suspects at this time.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A home "associated" with a defendant in the 2022 kidnapping and murder case of two Toledo teenagers was shot multiple times Thursday night, Toledo police told WTOL 11.

TPD responded to shots fired just before 11 p.m. at a home on Chase Street in north Toledo. The home was struck multiple times with bullets, according to a press release.

No injuries were reported.

A Toledo police detective at the scene said there are no suspects at this time.

If you have information, you can call or text Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.

The shooting comes hours after a jury reached a verdict in the trial of two men charged in the deaths of 16-year-old Ke'Marion Wilder and 15-year-old Kyshawn Pittman, whose bodies were discovered on Dec. 15, 2022, in the remnants of a burned, vacant house on Chase Street after nearly two weeks of searching.

Brent Kohlhoffer and Charles Walker were both found guilty of one of the two counts of aggravated murder they faced.

They were also found guilty of two counts of murder and two counts of kidnapping each.
