TOLEDO, Ohio — Police have arrested a teen in the homicide of 14-year-old Calub Ellis, who was shot and killed in west Toledo last year.
According to a report from Toledo police issued Monday, police arrested a 14-year-old suspect on Jan. 5 and charged them with murder for Ellis's death. It is WTOL 11 policy to not name juvenile suspects unless they are being tried as an adult.
Ellis, a Start High School student, was shot and killed in the 1400 block of West Sylvania Avenue on Sept. 18, 2023. Police ask anyone with further information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. You can remain anonymous.
