SWANTON, Ohio — State investigators have ruled a vacant house fire in Swanton on Friday was an arson and are seeking information from the public to identify those responsible.
Springfield Township firefighters were dispatched to the fire at 9:34 p.m. on Oct. 13 at 11750 Shaffer Road, Swanton, OH 43558, the Ohio State Fire Marshal said in a press release Monday.
The fire completely destroyed the structure.
The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee, a group formed in the 1970s to assist state investigators, is offering "a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading up to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible" for the fire.
Anyone who has information should contact the State Fire Marshal’s tip line at 800-589-2728.
