Shots fired at moving car in east Toledo early Monday, juvenile hospitalized

Toledo police claim the female victim was the passenger in a car driving along 1st Street and Euclid Avenue when someone opened fire on the car, striking her.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A juvenile was shot while driving in a car early Monday morning in east Toledo.

The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. on First Street between Euclid Avenue and Oak Street. Toledo police claim the female victim was the passenger in a car driving along First Street and Euclid Avenue when someone opened fire on the car, striking her. 

The driver of the car managed to drive to the 1900 block of Chase Street and called for help. The injured girl was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

Toledo police found several bullet holes and casings in the car, in the street and glass in the road.

No arrests have been made.
