TOLEDO, Ohio — A 12-year-old was injured in a south Toledo shooting Friday, according to a police report.
Officers responded to the intersection of South Avenue and Carlton Street just before 10 p.m. after receiving a report of a 12-year-old shot in the knee. In the report, police said the victim was walking with a group of other juveniles down South Avenue when a red sedan drove by and allegedly started firing shots in the direction of the group.
The victim was struck once, police said. Toledo Fire and Rescue transported the victim to the hospital. Police did not specify the condition of the victim or the severity of the injury.
