According to court documents, Christopher Stein, 44, is accused of tying up the victim because he believed she stole money from him.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Lucas County man is behind bars and charged with kidnapping after allegedly tying up a woman in her home and holding her against her will on Friday.

According to court documents, Toledo police arrested Christopher Stein, 44, who allegedly bound the victim's hands and feet with a cord and duct tape because he believed she stole money from him.

He's accused of keeping her in a closet and bathroom for over an hour and also punching the victim in the mouth.

Stein's bond is set at $100,000 and is ordered to have no contact with the victim. He has a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 5 at 9 a.m.

Stein is also facing charges of aggravated menacing after he allegedly held a knife to the side of another victim's head and neck while sitting behind him in a car on the same day. Court documents said he was telling the victim to drive and was making threats toward him.
