RICHLAND COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A Shiloh, Ohio, man previously reported missing from his father's Richland County home was arrested Wednesday after his father was found dead in the home on Christmas Eve.
The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office received a call Wednesday night "from a concerned person regarding Robert Hamman," who is now incarcerated in jail on a holder from the Ohio State Adult Parole Authority.
Terrence Hamman's death is being investigated by the Richland County Sheriff's Office.
"The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office is requesting help from residents that live within the area of County Highway 330 and State Highway 231," Sheriff Todd Frey said Wednesday. "As we continue to investigate the area of where Mr. Hamman was located, we are asking that if anyone comes across anything that is suspicious or out of place to contact the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office before removing or disturbing anything."
Law enforcement had been searching for Robert since he had abandoned Terrence's vehicle in Wyandot County on Saturday.
The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office said Robert was "reported to have been picked up by a nearby resident and taken to a local restaurant near Nevada," a village in Wyandot County.
The sheriff's office said he was seen at the same restaurant Wednesday and was taken into custody without incident.
