Man found guilty of felonious assault in November shooting sentenced to prison

William Loomis, 37, pleaded no contest to three charges and was sentenced to 17-22 years in prison.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The man found guilty of an east Toledo shooting that injured one person in November 2023 has been sentenced to prison.

William Loomis, 37, was handed down a sentence of 17-22 years in prison on Feb. 14 for the shooting on Price Street near Thurston Street.

Loomis withdrew a previous plea of not guilty, pleaded no contest and was found guilty on Jan. 30 of one charge each of felonious assault, discharging a firearm on a roadway and violating a protection order.
