Seneca County man found guilty of child sexual abuse

Timothy Kimble, 66, was found guilty of rape, gross sexual imposition and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, all involving victims under 13 years of age.

SENECA COUNTY, Ohio — A Seneca County judge delivered guilty verdicts in the bench trial of a man charged with several counts of child sexual abuse.

Timothy Kimble, 66, was found guilty of nine counts of felony offenses involving victims under 13 years of age, according to the Seneca County Prosecutor's Office. The verdicts were rendered Friday by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Damon D. Alt.

Kimble was indicted in December 2022 on numerous sexually-related offenses. A bench trial began Monday and concluded with Kimble being found guilty of four counts of rape involving a victim under 13 years of age, three counts of gross sexual imposition involving two victims under 13 years of age, and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles involving two victims under 13 years of age.

One count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles was dismissed by the court during the trial, the prosecutor's office said.

On Dec. 1, 2022, the Seneca County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at Kimble's residence and found "evidence consistent with the sexual assault allegation received from the Licking County Job and Family investigators," according to the sheriff's office.

The trial involved three days of testimony and evidence.

Kimble is scheduled to be sentenced March 5 at 1:30 p.m.
