TOLEDO, Ohio — A man pleaded guilty Tuesday to murder in the 2023 shooting death of a 17-year-old in west Toledo.
Edward Griffin, 20, was convicted in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for shooting and killing Mark Wortham outside of a home on Amsterdam Road near Richards Road on April 21, 2023.
Griffin is scheduled to be sentenced July 3.
The other suspect in the case, 19-year-old Franklin Robinson, pleaded guilty to an obstructing justice charge in March. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 10.
Wortham was found with at least one bullet wound and was taken to the hospital where he later died. He was a student at Rogers High School.
