TOLEDO, Ohio — A 19-year-old man was indicted on Thursday in connection with a triple shooting that killed one and injured two others.
Keondre Baker was indicted for murder and other charges in the fatal shooting of Ronald Thomas, 18, in October 2022.
Toledo police responded to Elliott Avenue and Grand Avenue for a shooting on Oct. 29, 2022. Thomas and two others were shot while sitting in a car just before 4 a.m. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene and the two other adult victims were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Baker was already in custody on murder charges in the 2020 shooting death of 19-year-old James Smith Jr. Baker was 16 at the time of the shooting.
Smith Jr. was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound near the Moody Manor apartment complex and Page Street on June 24, 2020. He later died at the hospital.
