TOLEDO, Ohio — A Lucas County Grand Jury has indicted a man for murder in a homicide case from July.
The shooting happened on the corner of Greene Street and City Park just before 8 p.m. on July 4, according to Toledo police. The victim, identified as 58-year-old Scott Gallagher, was shot in the chest and his death was ruled a homicide by the Lucas County Coroner's Office.
On Wednesday, Randy Spurlock was indicted for one count each of murder and felonious assault.
A man who lives down the street told our WTOL 11 crew on the scene the night of the shooting that in the 45 years he's lived in the neighborhood, he's never seen anything like this. Gallagher's homicide was the second shooting in seven days to happen in the area of Greene Street.
