TPD: Gunfire strikes homes in north, south Toledo neighborhoods Easter weekend

Toledo police responded to reports of gunfire striking homes in two different areas of the city on Friday.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating multiple reports of gunfire striking city homes late Friday night.

Just after 7 p.m., crews responded to shots fired on the 700 block of Ogden Avenue in south Toledo. A homeowner told officers her home was struck by gunfire while she was inside.

Officers at the scene found one bullet hole in the front door of the home. 

Another incident happened just before 9:30 p.m. when crews responded to a ShotSpotter Alert on the 3100 block of Elm Street in north Toledo. 

The home, which was occupied, was struck numerous times by gunfire, according to a press release. 

No injuries were reported in both shooting incidents.
