LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — The Lenawee County community is feeling relief and hoping for justice, after it was announced on Sunday that a body believed to be that of missing woman Dee Warner was discovered.
On Friday, authorities executed a search warrant at a farm belonging to Dee Warner's husband, Dale Warner, who was charged with her murder and for tampering with evidence in November. On Sunday morning, a family spokesperson told WTOL 11 that authorities had found a body they believe belongs to Dee.
"Do you know how many people have been waiting for this and the support she has all over," said Sally Oliver, a local woman who has been following Dee's disappearance since 2021, praying that answers would eventually come. "We just thought it would fade away, but you know the family and friends of Dee Warner wouldn't let it fade away," said Oliver.

Those friends include Candy Barron and Randy Cane, siblings who live next to the Warner's farm, where the body was recovered.
"She was a good person. She was outgoing. She was spunky to say the least," said Candy.
Randy knew the Warners especially well. He spent years working with them on their farm.
"I've known that family my whole life," said Randy, through tears.
Barron and Cane say finding her body now paves the way to closure, and hopefully, justice.
"I'm just glad they found her and the whole family can get peace," said Candy.
An autopsy will be held on Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
