Police: North Toledo man hospitalized in 'serious' condition after burglary, assault

A north Toledo man was hospitalized after police claim his home was burglarized and he was assaulted by the suspects.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating after multiple suspects allegedly burglarized a north Toledo home and assaulted its occupant Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Toledo police report, crews responded to the 1200 block of Paxton Street at approximately 4 p.m. regarding a robbery. Upon arrival, police claimed they determined multiple suspects had entered the residence, stolen property and assaulted the 41-year-old resident.

Police also claimed the victim knew one of the suspects. 

The victim sustained injuries to his head and mouth. A life squad transported the victim to a hospital where he was listed in serious condition at the time of the report.
