TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating after a Shot Spotter Alert detected 26 shots fired at Mulberry Street and E. Oakland Street in north Toledo Tuesday afternoon, leaving one person injured.
According to a Toledo police report, the Shot Spotter detected gunfire in two locations, both in the 3300 block of Mulberry Street. When crews arrived at approximately 1:46 p.m., they located a scene at the intersection of Mulberry and E. Oakland.
Crews then received reports of a walk-in gunshot wound at a local hospital. A 24-year-old and 35-year-old said they had exchanged gunfire with another vehicle. A bullet struck the 24-year-old in his lower body. Hospital staff determined the injury was non-life threatening. The 35-year-old was not injured.
Crime scene investigators responded to the incident. Police did not name any suspects at this time.
